The community of the Anna 3 Church in Antwerp invited me to make an installation for their beautiful church environment.
As I wanted to involve many of the people living in the neighbourhood, I photographed 450 community members.
Each portrait was glued onto a cardboard mirror and hung as a mobile from the church ceiling.
As the portraits twisted and turned in the breeze, they reflected the surrounding light of the coloured stained windows (made by Jacques Loire) as well as each other’s portraits.
